Testimonials

Mrs Clark talked to us about expressing the features of characters and how we can be more descriptive about their personality and character traits. I loved how she used different, fun activities to activate our creative side of the brain so we could express our character traits easier and to think of an 'outside of the box' story plan.

I like how Mrs Clark had us make mind maps of random ideas because that way we can easily see our ideas and write a story on that.  It is better than keeping all the ideas in our brain to write. Another amazing learning technique was to write constantly for 10 minutes. This can impact us in the future because it exercises our brain and can help us to think faster when writing. Exploring character profiles will also help us to imagine the character in a story. I loved how Mrs Clark evoked us to use the creative side of our brain and how it can have an impact in our writing. Thank you Mrs Clark.

Mrs Clark was really interesting in the way she taught us to build a story. It was very easy to understanding the way she explained it and took us through step-by-step. I noticed my writing improved through the workshop.  I've always wanted to become a writer so I would love to use the mind mapping and creative side of my brain in my stories to set up a good story line and create engaging characters! Thanks so much, Mrs Clark!

Mrs Clark talked to us about how to improve our stories and showed us that you need to break up a story line and think about what you want your main character to be like. She showed us how to brainstorm and then put the who, what, when, where and why together. I will use her brainstorming for planning in future to help me stet up a story line and write a good story.
